Overview

Children ages 2 to 5 are eligible for HMCDS’ preschool and child care programs. All children who attend the morning session participate in the preschool program. Child care services, both early morning and afternoon, are wrapped around this program. 

Before and after school care is available for children ages 5 to 12 who attend elementary school. 

The school operates year-round, with separate registrations for the school year (following Fairfax County Schools' schedule for start/end dates) and Summer camp sessions. While the school year session is more structured and centered around traditional preschool activities, the Summer session offers opportunities for a variety of summer-time, weekly theme-based activities, such as swimming, nature lessons, science exploration opportunities, Wolf Trap shows, field trips, and more.
