year round.

School-Year and Summer Sessions:
The HMCDS school year begins the day after Labor Day and ends on the
last regularly-scheduled day of school for Fairfax County Public
Schools. The HMCDS summer session begins the first weekday after the
regularly-scheduled close of Fairfax County Public Schools and ends
on the Friday before Labor Day. Separate registrations are required
for the school-year and summer sessions.
